The Point of Acolman was a temporary installation on display at the Mexican American Cultural Center for the el futuro-themed Las Piñatas 2022 Dia de los Muertos celebrations.

The Point of Acolman was designed using artificial intelligence (Midjourney) and re-imagines one of the most iconic piñatas, the seven pointed star. Reflecting the theme of el futuro, The Point of Acolman demonstrates that today designers are able to respond to RFPs using AI with simple text prompts in an attempt to imagine ideal futures. It reminds us of the importance of preserving Mexican and Latino culture in these changing times.
